Our Story
The finance and investment space in India is constantly booming and breaking new thresholds every year. But the one thing all of us experienced in our so-far short journey was the lack of structured information regarding recruitment, careers and even learning material. All of the knowledge seemed to be passed around like closely guarded secrets.
The Number Monkey is our attempt at democratizing information around careers & recruitment so that aspiring candidates can navigate the finance jungle.
We aim to create a free-speaking community where junior and senior professionals can share insights, advice as well as their experiences in the industry to help, mentor and develop the next batch of industry leaders. We also want to create a knowledge repository on matters such as modeling, financial analysis, sector analysis etc. which are increasingly becoming just a hygienic factor for working in the industry.
We hope that over time this platform becomes a meeting point for the entire finance community in India.
Our Team
Aman is an investment professional in India working at Baring Private Equity Asia. He previously worked at Multiples PE and the Transaction Advisory Team at Alvarez and Marsal. He is a Chartered Accountant by qualification and has also cleared all three levels of the CFA Examination.
Dev is an investment professional in India working at Multiples PE. He previously worked in Kotak Investment Banking and at TresVista. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from BITS Pilani.
Kartik is an investment professional in India who will be joining the Private Equity team at Bain Capital. He previously worked in Multiples PE and the investment banking division at EY. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from UCLA.
Satyam is an Investment Banking Analyst at Citi. He previously worked as a forex trader in India prior to starting at IIMA and interned with the IB division of Moelis & Company in the summer of 2020. He holds an MBA from IIMA, a CA by qualification and has cleared all three levels of the CFA Examination.
